EFT and Panic Attacks

In attempts to free themselves from suffering caused by panic attacks, many have spoken to doctors and professionals yet have been unable to obtain help they need. A simple strategy called The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) has been helpful for stress of panic attacks and anxiety and has shown to have a powerful effect on alleviating their symptoms.

A number of well known methodologies for dealing with panic attacks and anxiety related problems have been ineffective for many of those who suffer. Few therapists actually have the knowledge and understanding of panic and anxiety disorders to provide the client with the help he or she really needs, so counseling and talk therapy can take a significant amount of time to produce the results sought after.

Although there are a variety of medications available to handle anxiety, no one medication works for every person who is suffering from panic attacks. In addition, you can end up feeling even worse than one did before taking it. There can be possible uncomfortable and dangerous side effects from taking medications.

EFT does not include traditional therapy or medication to impact panic attacks and anxiety. Instead, it focuses on relieving symptoms by harnessing the power of your body’s energy systems. As with acupuncture, specific energy points on the body are targeted and tapped or stimulated to release tension and foster relaxation.

Where acupuncture involves the use of needles to get its results, EFT does not include using invasive methods. What it entails is the practitioner simply taps on key spots while repeating a phrase related to the symptoms that one is complaining about.

People who have had a wide variety of physical, mental and emotional problems, including panic attacks can be helped by using The Emotional Freedom Technique. This occurs not only by relieving the mind and freeing the sufferer from feelings of anxiety and panic, but also by the lessening of physical pain and muscle tension. The occurrence of anxiety and panic attacks is reduced by both the physical and emotional aspects of EFT. You will also find that that you have developed a new ability to put a stop to the attack as soon as you find yourself becoming stressed or anxious.

The more you practice The Emotional Freedom Technique, the stronger it gets - the benefits accumulate. Even though the benefits are cumulative, it is possible to find quick relief from anxiety and stress using The Emotional Freedom Technique. And as one continues to practice the technique, you will gain more and more control over your anxiety and panic attacks. It is even doable to completely eliminate your panic attacks within a period of a few weeks.

You do not have to go to somebody who practices EFT so that you can derive benefits. You can practice EFT on yourself. There are quite a few books and DVDs that are available that explain where to locate and tap on your energy points. However, it may be best to consult a qualified person who practices The Emotional Freedom Technique to get maximum results without getting stressed about having to learn how the Emotional Freedom Technique system works.
